Tutorial 056:
Border for Net Bezel

Level: advanced

This lesson shows how to make a decorative border around a Netted Bezel Pendant. Although this lesson focuses on creating very organic results by using beads of different shapes and sizes, the technique can also produce very structured and ornamental results.

Materials for the final pendant:

  • 1 semi-ready net bezel pendant
14 inches of 20ga round wire (soft or half-hard)
  • 9 feet of 28ga round wire (soft)
  • 2 small animal charms, 1 gecko and 1 frog
  • Approx. 20 stone beads of various sizes, ranging from 2mm to 5mm: rondelles, rounds, squares, nuggets.
  • Approx. 15 metallic beads of various sizes, ranging from 1mm to 4mm.
  •

Note 1 : This lesson requires knowledge of the Netted Bezel Pendant.

Variations: Change the outer shape of the border

All these pendants were created using exactly the same technique. The difference? Changing the outer shape of the border around net bezel by using different shaped beads (or NOT!). The more you vary the size, color and shape of the beads, the more organic the effect.
