Tutorial 006: Coiled Frame Wrap (Bezel)

Level: Intermediate

This ultra popular basic bezel wrap shows how to create a coiled frame around a bead, making the piece resemble a bezeled stone.

This is a two-in-one tutorial: two different methods are shown, you pick the one you like best to create your pieces. This technique is also a prerequisite for other more intricate techniques.

Materials needed for each link:

  • 1 3/4" to 1.5" round bead
  • 3 feet of 26 or 28 ga wire (dead soft)
  • 6" 24 ga wire (dead soft or h-hard)
