Marine Relic Bangle
Another marine-theme bracelet... This one is derived from the Underwater relic pendant created a couple of weeks ago (click here).
I like the way it looks very organic -- the various tiny beads almost look like barnacles (small crustaceans which attach to submerged surfaces) -- and not symmetrical as most of my pieces are. Little critters
continue to crawl all over my bracelets... a dolphin, a shark, a lobster, a sea-horse and the tiniest sea turtle.
The center stone is a rather large aquamarine nugget, measuring 3/4" by 1 1/4" wide (2 x 3 cm.). Other stones include smaller aquamarine nuggets and rondelles and also delicate light green garnet ovals.
The bracelet is totally hand-coiled with more than 20 feet of hair-thin sterling silver wire. The bangle measures 3/4" at the center and tapers down to 1/2" at the clasp. It fits 6" to 8" wrists.
