Ruby and Golden Necklace

I got a stash of magnificent opaque ruby beads a few months ago which I have been aching to play with. For the pendant, I wove the rubies in a freeform shape with gold filled wire, adding vermeil beads (silver overlayed with 18k gold) and also some very unusual matching deep red tourmalines and garnets.

The necklace also has rubies and the red tourmalines, and measurers 28 inches long. The pendant measures 1.5 by 1.75 inches, not including the bail length.
