Fire Rust Necklace

This necklace was originally created for a contest, but it took SO LONG to make that I missed the deadline
{{{sheepish smile}}}.

Oh well, I had fun making it anyway and probably someone else will have even more fun wearing it.

This is a "Y" necklace which hangs from silver chain and it has a handmade S clasp (not shown -- give me some time and I'll take pictures of it). The stones are red agate and smokey quartz stones.

As usual, gazillions of feet of hair thin wire and a multitude of silver beads were used, painstakingly coiled by hand.

The part I like best is the banded agate drop: it is very unusual and is the only one I had in my entire stash of agate nuggets.

The Y portion measures 5 inches high, including the agate drop. The entire necklace measures 24 inches long and can be adjusted shorter for comfort.

Sorry, gone - a similar item can be available through special order!
