About the Artist:
Sandra Hendrickson

Short Bio

In 1990, Sandy Hendrickson experienced 2 events which changed her life dramatically. She saw her first natural quartz crystal, in the form of a wire-wrapped pendant, and as a result attended her first Gem and Mineral show. She has never been the same since!

Between 1991 and 1993, she attended the William Holland School of Lapidary Arts twice and since then has produced and sold her jewelry at Fine Arts and Crafts shows and shops in the Atlanta, Georgia area.

Sandra has also won the Best of Show for two contests organized by the WWJ (Wire Wrap Jewelry newsgroup on the net) in 2004 and 2006.

She is currently assembling her own website and has been invited to teach two classes in advanced wire jewelry in the autumn of 2006, at the William Holland School of Lapidary Arts.

She currently lives in Murphy, NC with her son Sam, and sells her jewelry in local stores in the area.

Artist Statement

As a jewelry artist, I am constantly striving to learn new techniques, and explore new styles of making jewelry. I find this approach helps keep me excited about making jewelry, and it keeps my designs fresh and innovative.

I love what I do, and I love the materials I work with. I am always amazed and delighted by beautiful stones, and I have a particular fondness for natural crystals.

I am now beginning to branch out some, and I am including teaching, and tutorial writing among my accomplishments. I've had a few people help me, inspire me, and mentor to me along the way, so I am pleased to be able to "Pay it Forward".
