Square Cab Ring

This lesson teaches how to create a ring using a square or rectangular cushion-shaped
cabochon. The woven wire on top of the cab creates a simple, but very elegant woven pattern over the stone.
Materials for pendant:
8" 18 ga round soft or half hard wire
¾" by ¾" square or rectangular cushion-shaped cabochon
3 feet 28ga soft wire
Note: you may use rectangular shapes or other sizes as well.
Tools:
Ring mandrel
Metallic hammer
Metallic anvil or block
Flush wire cutter
Round nose pliers
Masking tape
