YOJ 2005 Week 26

Paella is a Spanish dish made with a mix of various ingredients such as rice, vegetables and seafood prepared in a large, shallow pan. When I was traveling through Spain during '92 through Catalunya, seafood Paella seemed to be on the menu of every restaurant.

Although typically paella is prepared with saffron which makes it take an orangey color, this cuff has such a variety of different "ingredients" it reminded me of that flavorful dish and the wonderful time I had in Spain.

This is probably one of the most complex bracelets I have created so far. It took me twice as long as a normal bangle to make. My poor fingers need a rest after this one!

I cannot describe how soft and wonderful this cuff feels on the skin. It is made of a mix of different materials, including: seashell, soapstone, rose quartz, pearls, mother of pearl mosaic, pink opal, garnet and angel skin coral. The sterling silver beads are mostly Thai hilltribe and some Balinese -- including some whimsical "fish face" silver beads.

I have fallen in love with this PERFECT bracelet! The colors, the silver adorements, the stones & beads are treasures together! I try to make some like yours but am just starting; you are the BEST!
