YOJ 2007 Week 26 - Memory Treasures Bracelet

I know I'm a week early posting, but I am going to be away on vacation soon, and I just needed to post this one... This is a "Memory Treasures bracelet", created for Nancy K. This bracelet is made of shells and small items which Nancy sent to me -- they are part of her box of personal treasures, which have been collected all her life. I hope she enjoys the bracelet as much as I enjoyed making it for her... To see more pictures and details about the story, go to Memory Treasures Bracelet page.

I received the following email from Linda -- I think we can ALL relate to it!

"Hi Eni,
I have been studing your techniques for a while now. Very impressive. At first when I was having "control" problems, I started making a list of names to call sterling wire. It helps maintain sanity, and I thought it might give you a giggle.

YOJ 2007 Week 25 - Lady of the night necklace

Another double netted bezel pendant: this is the "Lady of the night". Her face is a perfect oval onix cabochon, her body made of iridescent abalone. Her hair swirls with pearls, hematite and labradorite. The butterfly symbolizes her transformation from day to night. The moon is her eternal companion. For more pictures, check out the Lady of the Night page.

YOJ 2007 Week 24 - Green Turtle Gecko necklace

I've been working with netted bezels around one single stone such as the Rhodochrosite pendant and Aquamarine pendant. This new necklace is a the first of a series using two stones trapped in a netted bezel. Of course, the little gecko and turtle couldn's resist coming to play! Green garnet, tourmaline, peridot. YOJ 2007 Week 23 - Blue Green Turtle

Some time ago I received a request to make a pendant with tourmalines and a turtle. Well, I finally found time to make it, but I can't locate the interested party! Either way, it's all good. This piece reminds me of a lagoon, with green and blue waves. The tiny sea turtle seems to swim effortlessly and peacefully through it. Tourmalines, green garnet, apatite, topaz. To see more pictures of this piece, go to Blue Green Lagoon with Turtle Necklace.

YOJ 2007 Week 22: Tiny Mosaic Earrings

My family had two "mother's day" parties this year: one side of the family was away traveling during the actual date, so we had a late party. These are earrings that I made for all the moms: 1/2" jumprings totally wrapped with goldfilled wire, and inside a mosaic of tiny precious stones. Topaz, tourmaline, apatite and garnet. These are really easy and fast to make, I used a modified version of the Mosaic Pendant, using a 1/2" jumpring, but wrapped the entire jumpring first before attaching the stones.

YOJ 2007 Week 21 - Aqua Nugget Necklace

This pendant was constructed around a chunky nugget of clouded aquamarine with a netted bezel. Around it, a wire armature holds more aquamarine nuggets, apatite rondelles, pearls and of course, two marine critters: a lobster and a dolphin.
