Copyright sign on photos

Question: I like how you put a copyright sign and your name on all your pictures. Could you tell me the program you use to do this, and how you do it?

Answer: Essentially, I open up the file in Photoshop and add text to it, it's that simple. I do it in light grey, so that won't be too strong on the image. If you don't have Photoshop, then you can use Window's Paint program just as well.

Here's a tip: to input the "copyright sign", instead of typing on your keyboard, press the Alt button and then 0169 numbers on your numeric keypad. Then type the rest of your name.

There's also a great little photo editor, that's quicker and easier than loading paint shop, photo shop, or some of the other code heavy programs - has text feature and the standard editing goodies, and it's FREE, no strings attached - honest :)and no I don't work for them - Paint.net, download and install quick and painless :)

North Sea, you have to use the number key pad on the right side of the keyboard, and make sure the NumLock is on. It should work fine for you then *s*.

north sea:It helps to use the number pad to do ALT codes. Make sure the numbers lock is off so that you can use it.

I haven't found a way of making the alt stuff work on a laptop which doesn't have a number key pad (but I'm still trying). Alternative is to go into a Word doc, click on Insert - Symbol and select the symbol you want, then copy and paste to where you want it. Messy, but at least it works!

The way to work on a laptop is to turn on the NUM LOCK. This activates a virtual number pad on your main keyboard, probably around the letters u, i, o, j, k, l. These and other letters are converted to a number keypad once num lock is on.
So press num lock, then alt and the corresponding letters to 0169.

Thanks Eni, but be aware that some laptops don't have a key marked NUM LOCK. On mine you need to press Fn & F11 (which has a small keypad icon on it) - same again to turn NUM LOCK off. Also note that the character will not display until you release the Alt key! There are lots of other useful Alt codes, check the Internet.
