More Baton

Continuing to explore Baton (Carol Ohl) tangle with some others. This is a simple script "e" shaped string, filled a variety of different tangles that I like to use.

Here's a little step-by-step for you to follow. 

Step 1: The line-art done using Micron 01 over Zentangle white tile.

Step 2: Some areas are inked out. Very light shading applied over major sections using 2H pencil.

Step 3: Marasu (the spiral on the upper corner) is inked in. More shading is applied in some of the darker corners and details.

Step 4: Switching to HB pencil to get darker shading.

Step 5: The final tile after switching once more to 2B pencil to deepen the darkest shading.
